Description:
A two-year project to install a fiber optic cable along the currently-under-construction Tłı̨chǫ All Season Road (TASR), from KM196 of HWY3 to the Community of Whatì in the Northwest Territories. This project proposes to build an estimated 115 kilometers of transport fibre along the TASR, including associated electronics, rack space and power infrastructure to connect Whatì to Northwestel’s fibre transport.

Expected Results:
As a result of the project, 152 households are expected to have improved level of Internet in terms of speed, latency and reliability. In the short term, this project will create eleven, expand two and maintain eight full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs for the construction of the fiber optic cable.
