Description:
YukonU will purchase a mobile teaching water treatment plant to support the Yukon Water and Wastewater Operator Program (YWWOP). The unit will include water treatment, storage and distribution equipment commonly found in water treatment plants in Yukon, contained in a mobile container/trailer. The completed unit will enable hands-on training and experience for students across Yukon.

Expected Results:

As a result of this project, YukonU will bring the mobile teaching water treatment plant to multiple communities each year to improve educational experiences for rural and First Nation students. The unit will also be available for courses at the Whitehorse Ayamdigut campus. Long term benefits will include capacity and hands-on skills for community water operators.
