Description:
A project to expand the current Nattilik Heritage Centre to enhance the tourism offer in Nunavut and to capitalize on the creation of the Franklin Interpretation Centre following the Erebus and Terror discoveries in 2014 and 2016, respectively The Society aims to create 5-9 new jobs, expand 3 jobs and maintain a total of 10 existing jobs.

Expected Results:

As a result of the project, an additional 600 square meters of new space will be added to the current facility, which will include a dedicated arts space, maker space, and adventure tourism office. These new spaces will endeavour to ensure an increase in employment, local & regional economic growth, and increased tourism to the community and the Kitikmeot region more broadly.
