Description:
The proposed project will renovate an existing structure from the old Giant Mine site and repurpose it to preserve the heritage and mining history of Yellowknife. The Centre will facilitate partnerships between schools, Indigenous groups, existing museum operations, and the Giant mine Remediation Project. The scope of the project includes: construction, leasehold improvements, access infrastructure, kitchen equipment, electrical, and mechanical expenses.

As a result of this project, there will be two new jobs and two new revenue streams at the Centre. The result will support multi-user tourism infrastructure and contribute towards economic development related cultural objectives in Yellowknife.
