Description:

A two year pilot program, the Northern Canada Producer Accelerator (NCPA), to develop, train, and mentor up to 15 northern canadian screen media producers in NWT and Yukon.

Expected Results:

As a result of this project, 15 qualified Northern Canadian producers will participate in a series of workshops and training sessions and will be linked with skilled industry mentors and vital industry contacts outside the north enabling them to develop and market their projects. The skills learned and contacts gained will be invaluable to producers and the Northern film sector well after the project completion.

Inclusive Diversification and Economic Advancement in the North (IDEANorth) makes foundational investments in economic infrastructure, sector development and capacity building to help position Northerners in the territories to take advantage of Canada's innovation economy. The IDEANorth program focuses on four priority areas: economic growth and sector development; business scale-up, productivity and innovation; small-scale economic infrastructure development; and foundational economic infrastructure.
