Description:
The Hamlet of Taloyoak will renovate its old office building and install an industrial kitchen to establish a daily community soup kitchen serving 200 hot meals per day.

Expected Results:

As a result of this project, the community is expecting to serve 200 hot lunches every day, year round. The renovated building will also host the existing school breakfast program. To run both programs, the Hamlet will need four full-time employees therefore expanding 2 part-time jobs to full-time jobs and creating 2 new full-time jobs. This project will greatly contribute towards reducing food insecurity in the community, support low income households, and support community morale and mental health.
