As a result of this project, NBCL will have the tools and training required to setup a quality control program, which has the potential of extending product shelf life from two to four months up to twelve months or more. The extended shelf life will position NBCL to expand sales into other regions of the territory (e.g. Kivalliq), reach export markets in other provinces and territories as well as explore international markets. This project is expected to maintain three FTE jobs, expand two FTE jobs and possibly create one FTE job.
