Description:
The Bathurst Inlet Lodge Ltd will renovate and rejuvenate the ecolodge that remained vacant for the last two years due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This proposal includes two distinct phases comprising of acquiring the necessary renovation materials and freight to the lodge; followed by renovation of the ecolodge.

Expected Results:
As a result of the project, the Bathurst Inlet Lodge Ltd will reopen and contribute to the growth of tourism in Nunavut by showcasing Nunavut as a world-class destination for ecotourism, and provide employment opportunities to Inuit, Métis, and youth the 2022-2023 tourism season. This project is expected to maintain at least 10 seasonal jobs, and create 4 contracted jobs for a period of 3 weeks for the employees in charge of renovations.
