Description:

A project to support community capacity, skills, and knowledge development that will enable residents and small businesses to maximize economic benefits from various large infrastructure projects outlined in the Teslin Tlingit Council and Village of Teslin 10-Year Joint Community Development Plan. The project will support the community's economic diversification and expand the local workforce skillset moving forward.

Expected Results:

As a result of this project, it is anticipated that 30-40 FTE jobs will be created and 10-15 FTE jobs will be maintained both through direct and indirect employment for Teslin Tlingit Council citizens and First Nations owned businesses. Additionally, the project will increase the capacity of the local subcontracting community and enable Teslin Tlingit Council and First Nations owned businesses to better respond to future large scale projects in their Traditional Territory.
