Description:
Ross River Dena Council (RRDC) is a non-signed Yukon First Nation with their Traditional Territory in and around Ross River and Faro, Yukon. RRDC is receiving funds for a 2-year project to deliver a remote flight school training program for Kaska students in partnership with Alkan Air.

Expected Results:
As a result of this project, Kaska students will obtain their Private Pilot's License and Commercial Pilot's License to qualify for aviation jobs to fly single engine aircraft. Developing this capacity within the Kaska Nation is the first step in taking advantage of long term economic development opportunities in the region in a variety of sectors, paving the way for autonomy and self-determination of the Kaska Nation.
