Arctic Kingdom Wilderness Holdings Inc is receiving a $98,000 non-repayable contribution agreement (55% of total project costs) towards a one year, $218,604 project. This project is to undertake 3 separate segments of upgrades to their utility systems;- an upgrade/installation of redundancies in the solar power generation systems; - an upgrade/installation of year round fresh water intakes which remains compliant with existing water licensing; - an upgrade of greywater and wastewater collection systems to allow for easier collection into existing sump sites and holding tanks.

Expected Results:
As a result of this project 2 jobs (.5 Annual FTE) will be maintained rather than be laid off; the lodge's environmental impact will be reduced and the utility systems will be able to better support the amenities needed for a competitive tourism market experience attracting high value clientele and producing spin-off spending in Yellowknife, NT.
