Expected Results:

The Arctic Eider Society will have supported the creation of the local conservation economy and will have partnered on the development of a major infrastructure development and upgrading project within Sanikiluaq. Once completed, this facility will support, and be a significant driver of, community-based research. The facility will provide offices, meeting spaces and accommodation for the community and academic researchers from across Canada and beyond and will have a space to showcase and sell local arts and craftwork.

The IDEANorth program focuses on four priority areas: economic growth and sector development; business scale-up, productivity and innovation; small-scale economic infrastructure development; and foundational economic infrastructure.
