Description:
Implement a series of COVID-19-related measures in order to maintain as many fishery-sector jobs amongst its four 100% Inuit-owned member companies. NFA will provide PPE, cover the cost of protocol development and risk analysis, reimburse plant/vessel modifications to ensure social distancing barriers and other related risk-reductions and port landing surcharges and cover other additional travel-related costs incurred as a direct result of the COVID-19 restrictions in Canada and Greenland. NFA will also address the marketing and branding needs for the Nunavut P. montagui shrimp species in actual and potential new markets.

Expected Results:
Adaption to Covid-19 restrictions is necessary to maintain the 150-200 Inuit-held jobs and to ensure proper health and safety measures are in place and followed rigorously. A branding and promotional campaign will be designed and launched to promote sales demand for Nunavut shrimp during the ongoing pandemic.
