Establish and maintain a Ross River Community Skills Inventory; raise awareness of skills development and employment opportunities at the community level; invest in targeted job skills training that aligns current and future industry needs; create a new Community Employment Coordinator position at DNDC to deliver support services and coordinate a range of outreach activities at the community level.

Expected Results:
As a result of this project Dena Nezziddi Development Corporation and the community of Ross River will establish a skills inventory as well as community-level support services and outreach through job fairs, and community information sessions. DNDC will work with partners to foster and support targeted pre-employment and jobs skills training. This includes Employment Readiness Training in: Mining/exploration/Remediation; Construction; Environmental Monitoring; and Business/Life Skills.
