Description:
With this project, VWB will: a) establish formal partnerships with local animal health service delivery organizations in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut; b) implement a series of temporary veterinary clinics in northern communities that include One Health educational programs for youth and the general public; and, c) coordinate local, territorial and Indigenous government summits to promote One Health policy and practice in northern Canada.

Expected Results:

New partnerships established through this project both between VWB and northern Canadian communities, and among northern communities, are expected to result in improved access to veterinary clinics in the North.

The project is expected to apply One Health principles in the Northern region as well as improve the quality of animal health services, in particular rabies prevention.
