Description:

The objective of this project is to conduct a literature review and to collect data for the first phase of a two-phased project to test a newly formulated milk replacement substitute to feed calves during transport.

Once completed, this research project is expected to determine whether a newly formulated milk replacer is safe and beneficial to feed calves during transit.

Positive results would be expected to enhance the cattle industry’s ability to comply with the amended Health of Animals Regulations, Part XII: Transport of Animals.
