Grants and Contributions:
The project will result in:
- an early stage prototype of a Social Trust index for use by local players;
- a call to action and evidence-based case for making social trust a primary objective and measure of success;
- publishing of ideas and strategies that cities and communities may undertake to build social trust;
- convening of core group of cities from across Europe, innovating approaches and aligning their efforts to measureable social trust agenda; a framework for a new narrative based on proof of possibility at the local level;
- a platform to rally new financial and key influences support for the next stages of the project.
Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, endorsed by over 150 nations including Canada, sets out a common understanding, shared responsibilities and unity of purpose regarding migration, and has as one of its objectives, to empower migrants and societies to realize full inclusion and social cohesion.
To provide funding to organizations that are active in the areas of international migration policy development and research and whose independent work as a third party offers a valuable contribution for consideration in Canadian international migration and citizenship policy development and implementation.
