Grants and Contributions:

To improve understanding of practical challenges and opportunities related to migration and development by policy makers and practitioners that participate in GFMD events;
To strengthen partnerships and cooperation on migration and development between countries, international organizations, civil society, the business sector and local authorities.

The Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) is a state-led, informal and non-binding process, which helps shape the global debate on migration and development. It provides a flexible, multi-stakeholder space where governments can discuss the multi-dimensional aspects, opportunities and challenges related to migration, development, and the link between these two areas.

The purpose of this Arrangement is to provide Canada's annual funding contribution to support the
activities of the GFMD in 2019.
