Program Purpose:
The Foreign Skilled Trades Class Assessment Pilot project builds upon the Skills Passport Feasibility Study submitted to CIC in July 2013. SIAST proposes to develop a Foreign Qualification Assessment stream that will allow applicants to apply online with proof of identity and local certification information. The development of the FQA framework will establish a qualification assessment that recognizes equivalencies between similar training systems and Canadian Red Seal trades.
