Program Purpose:
Needs Assessments & Referrals determine newcomer's eligibility for services, assess newcomers' needs, and link newcomers to appropriate settlement and community based services. Information and Orientation aims at providing newcomers with relevant, accurate, consistent, and timely settlement-related information and orientation that is needed to make informed settlement decisions; seeks to promote a contextual understanding of life in Canada. It also includes basic skill development and training.
