To increase collaboration between delegates from both organizations to help respond to Hemispheric challenges related to migration, including irregular and extra-regional migration.
To increase partnership between both organizations to promote regular migration pathways in the Americas.
To institutionalize or adopt greater information sharing between the RCM and South American Conference for Migration (SACM)
The Regional Conference on Migration (RCM) is a forum to discuss shared migration issues. Its member states include Canada, Costa rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and the United States.
To provide funding to organizations that are active in the areas of international migration policy development and research and whose independent work as a third party offers a valuable contribution for consideration in Canadian international migration and citizenship policy development and implementation.
