Access to IRCC-funded services is facilitated; Clients improve labour market knowledge, employment-related language skills, job search skills, connections, and acquire Canadian work experience; Clients increase knowledge of life in Canada; Consistent and responsive settlement program delivery; Employers are aware of opportunities (mechanisms and tools) to hire qualified French-speaking immigrants; French-speaking clients receive settlement services that address their settlement needs; In-depth understanding of clients’ general and language needs and assets to facilitate settlement and language training pathways and outcome assessment; Increased awareness and understanding among policy makers and stakeholders on topics of importance to the vitality of Official Language Minority Communities (OLMCs); Partners and stakeholders are engaged in promotion, recruitment and settlement and implement strategies to address newcomers needs in FMCs; Prospective French speaking immigrants are aware of opportunities (mechanisms and tools) to immigrate to FMCs; Settlement sector improves capacity to provide coordinated and effective settlement support to newcomers, including equity deserving groups
For Canada to realize the economic, social and cultural benefits of immigration, newcomers must integrate successfully into Canadian society. To provide newcomers with the information required to make informed decision, language skills adequate to their settlement and integration goals, and the support they need to build networks within their new communities.
