• The CIHR Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health (CIHR-IHDCYH), will provide bridge funding for an application by a mid-career researcher that is relevant to the Institute's mandate:
o As a lifecycle-based Institute, IHDCYH has a broad mandate that covers defined time periods and a wide range of issues pertaining to human development: pre-conception; fertilization; embryonic and fetal development; the health of the mother and father; and the health and development of infants, children and youth.
• Bridge funding can be used at the NPAs discretion to catalyze work on their proposed project in the manner they feel best moves forward their research program, for example, collection of pilot data, demonstration of feasibility, or work to address peer review comments.
