• The CIHR Institute of Cancer Research (CIHR-ICR) has a mandate to support research that reduces the burden of cancer on individuals and families through prevention strategies, screening, diagnosis, effective treatments, psycho-social support systems, and palliation.
• This priority announcement is designed to support research on equity in cancer prevention and control with a focus on disparities among populations. For the purpose of this PA, populations of interest include those in which health equity is impacted by geography, race, language, culture, or other barriers.
