Description:
• The CIHR Institute of Cancer Research (CIHR-ICR) has a mandate to support research that reduces the burden of cancer on individuals and families through prevention strategies, screening, diagnosis, effective treatments, psycho-social support systems, and palliation. • This priority announcement (PA) is designed to support research that mitigates the challenges experienced along the breast cancer survivorship journey and improves the health outcomes for breast cancer survivors of all ages from the time of their cancer diagnosis until the time of their death or entry into end-of-life care. This PA will not fund research focused on improving end-of-life care. • This PA supports research that creates new knowledge in breast cancer survivorship and/or moves it into practice in the health system, communities, and in the daily lives of Canadians. • This PA will fund research in the following areas: o Late & Long-Term Effects o Survivors’ Experiences & Outcomes o Models of Care
