Description:
The goal of the Terry Fox New Frontiers Program Project Grant is to discover and explore new knowledge with the potential to transform cancer diagnosis, treatment and/or understanding of cancer biology.
The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) mandate is to support research that reduces the burden of cancer on individuals and families through prevention strategies, screening, diagnosis, effective treatments, psychosocial support systems, and palliation. Partnering to fund an application as a competition partner in this Terry Fox Research Institute (TFRI) funding opportunity responds to CIHR-ICR’s research priorities of early detection and breast cancer.
