The intended outcome is that the University of Ottawa - Andre E. Lalonde National Facility in Accelerator Mass
Spectrometry in hosting the International Committee on Radionuclide Metrology
and its Applications – Low level Radioactivity Measurement Techniques Conference.

The purpose of the Research and Support Program Stream is to:
acquire independent expertise, advice and information needed to support timely regulatory judgment and decisions
assist in the identification and assessment of operational problems which may give rise to health, safety, security or environmental hazards
assist in the development of capability and tools to be able to address health, safety, security or environmental issues
facilitate the assessment for the technical or scientific basis of licensing decisions and encourage licensees to address these issues
aid in the development of nuclear safety standards.
