The intended outcome is to support MSIFN with hosting a joint meeting with the CNSC,
NRCAN, Justice Canada and the Michi Saagiig to discuss the Implementation of the UNDA and the Action to foster trust while giving First Nations a clearer understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and potential limitations of various government bodies in this context.
The purpose of the Indigenous and Stakeholder Capacity Fund is to: develop and support organizational capacity of Indigenous Nations and communities and public stakeholders to participate in and contribute to the CNSC’s regulatory processes, programs, policies and initiatives more meaningfully; support building relationships and trust with the CNSC through collaboration with Indigenous Nations and communities and public stakeholders.
