Description:
The main objective of this project is increasing awareness of Canadian space science and technology among Canadian youth and educators. A view from space is the ultimate geographical perspective and there is a natural affinity between geography and space that underlines the rationale for this project. The Royal Canadian Geographical Society's readers, teachers and students all want to learn more about space. The Society will therefore , through its education arm, design and produce web-based learning resources and lesson plans to accompany modules in the Canadian Atlas On-line. It will issue articles on complimentary topics and run contests that enhance learning about topics like CSA and the environment and CSA and the North. All of the content and contests will be available in both official languages. As the subject experts, the Canadian Space Agency will be the source of information upon whom the Society will draw in the course of this project.
