Title:
Anticipating Altimetric measurements of interactions between internal waves and geostrophic flows
Agreement Number:

Agreement Value:
$289,200.00
Agreement Date:
Mar 31, 2015 - Mar 31, 2025
Description:
This proposed research project intends to derive conceptual models of processes of interactions between oceanic internal waves, fronts, and other flows existing on similar scales. The team will also work to improve knowledge on coastal currents, mesoscale and submesoscale features, tides, marine winds and waves from existing nadir altimetry data, and to improve tide, circulation and wave models and to develop technique that can effectively integrate simulated SWOT data into the models.
Organization:
Canadian Space Agency
Expected Results:

-Increased knowledge from research projects in priority space S&T areas (number of new and ongoing space science and technology initiatives and projects).
-Number of completed space science and technology initiatives (Announcement of Opportunity) and proj
