The project is entitled « Optical field line resonances: auroral properties and calibration of Swarm EFI ». The project team will use data from ground-based instrument arrays and from Europe's Swarm satellites to understand how the aurora are generated. By understanding the processes responsible for the aurora, the team will also understand the processes that lead to disruptions in navigation systems.
