Description:
The project « Our Home in the Skies » will
develop teaching/learning bundles for the
facilitation for informal and formal
STEM/STEAM space education that encourage
Indigenous youth to consider STEM space
careers, provide cultural teachings with
Elders and their star stories, and teach
Indigenous world views to others. In
Indigenous contexts, the explanations of
natural or scientific phenomena will be
presented in terms to which youth can relate
(Indigenous/cultural terms with an Elder or
Knowledge Keeper), and then explained in
western terms.
