Description:
The goal of the proposed mission is to land the first stereoscopic virtual reality (VR) camera on the moon onboard a Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) lander. This mission will demonstrate the technology to capture high quality 360-degree stereoscopic VR content from the moon gaining critical flight heritage necessary for the subsequent development of the Space Explorers: Mission to the Moon series. The mission will serve two primary purposes. First, to mature Felix & Paul Studios VR capture and processing technologies. Second, to capture content from space to serve in ongoing productions of a new series.

Expected Results:

The Research component of the program provides financial support to organizations to conduct space related research and development in priority areas. It will support targeted knowledge development and innovation to sustain and enhance the Canadian capacity to use space to address national needs and priorities in the future.
