Description:
(20STDPK15) This R&D project will develop the UrthePlatform, a key element of the UrthePlatform Analytics Engine, which will support UrtheCast's UrtheDaily mission -a constellation of satellites that will sweep almost all of the world's land daily, with high precision images and rapid image delivery.
The development will enable Urthecast to:
· Distribute enormous quantities of EO data from UrtheDaily to the global public cost-effectively
· Provide a purpose-built platform for scientific EO applications
UrtheDaily data can facilitate many new information products& services that can have impact on Canadian public, for example:
With UrtheDaily data it is possible to build a water management service at a national scale that can provide daily watering & Irrigation schedules, which can lead to a significant reduction in wasted water usage.

Expected Results:
The Research component of the program provides financial support to organizations to conduct space related research and development in priority areas.
