Description:
The program will provide a range of interventions and services to women offenders who are mothers along with their infants and children, to nurture the mother-child bond. Aboriginal worldview, understands the critical need for children and parents to bond, always reunify and work towards healthy relationships. The program will be delivered both with a residential component and visiting program for expecting mothers up to and including mothers of school age children.

Program Purpose:

NCSA will offer this program through the Buffalo Sage Wellness House and will support women offenders on their journey to reintegration as mothers and with their infants and children alongside them. BSWH will provide services to the women that will assist them with securing employment and independent living skills while they develop new coping and parenting skills. Cultural and spiritual support will be utilized throughout the program and will be a primary focus for balance of the individual.
