Expected Results:

The Government of Canada is working closely with APEC partners, including Australia, to support Papua New Guinea (PNG) for its 2018 APEC host year. To date, Canadian efforts have focussed upon security sector capacity building to help address PNG knowledge and skills gaps. Through the GAC Counter-Terrorism and Anti-Crime Capacity Building Program (IDC), Canada has supported the delivery of two Major Event Security Framework (MESF) workshops for PNG officials in Port Moresby.
