Grants and Contributions:
The expected immediate outcomes for this project include: (1) Improved capacity of justice sector actors, governments, civil society and democratic oversight bodies to effectively and equitably monitor and protect human rights for all people; (2) Improved capacity of justice sector actors, governments, civil society and democratic oversight bodies to promote and advocate for human rights for all people and to contribute to transparent, accountable and gender responsive governance systems; (3) improved capacity of public institutions to better serve the needs and rights of all people, and to carry out their responsibilities in a manner that is fair and non-discriminatory;
The expected intermediate outcomes are; (1) increased effective and equitable promotion and protection of human rights by justice sector actors, governments, civil society and democratic institutions, and; (2) increased inclusiveness and effectiveness of public sector, civil society and rule of law institutions and their interaction to effect change, allocate resources and make decisions to better serve, protect and advocate the needs and rights of all people.
The main purpose on the International Development Assistance Program is to reduce poverty for those living in countries where Global Affairs Canada engages in international development.
