Grants and Contributions:
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) increased access to safe drinking water, sanitation facilities and hygiene education; (2) treatment for severe acute malnutrition, including for pregnant and lactating women; (3) access to learning materials school enrollment and attendance; (4) increased access to protection services, particularly for children and women, including gender-based violence risk mitigation, prevention or response; and (5) increased access to basic health care services while supporting public health responses to reduce COVID-19 transmission and mortality.
The expected ultimate outcome is lives saved, suffering alleviated and human dignity maintained for populations experiencing humanitarian crises or acute food insecurity.
The main purpose on the International Development Assistance Program is to reduce poverty for those living in countries where Global Affairs Canada engages in international development.
