Description:
The project aims to support the national government and all stakeholders in Chad to facilitate and undertake an inclusive and credible political transition process. The activities of this project include: 1) the organization of a credible and peaceful referendum on the final draft of the national constitution; 2) the organization of national presidential and legislative elections in a credible and peaceful manner; 3) the facilitation of negotiations and participation of armed groups in the inclusive national dialogue process ; 4) the capacity building of local stakeholders (including women, youth, and people with disabilities) and representative bodies to provide appropriate input and take their advocacy to the national dialogue and constitution-drafting bodies; and 5) support to the media to enable them to monitor and provide the public with accurate and useful information on the political transition processes.

Expected Results:
The expected outcomes of this project include: 1) a new social contract accepted by the people and facilitated by the national dialogue, constitution-making and electoral process; 2) a secure transition process; and 3) public confidence strengthened in the national dialogue and in the constitutional bodies/processes.
