Description:
The digital initiatives will contribute to fostering skills development, online safety, and inclusive platforms for networking and access to job opportunities. These gender-responsive digital initiatives will address systemic gender barriers, such as lack of digital literacy, limited internet access, and stereotyping that discourages girls from pursuing tech and tech-enabled careers with the objective of unlocking the potential of all young people, regardless of gender, geography or background. The initiative will focus on three key pillars: i) digital platforms for career development; ii) digital skilling platform; and iii) technology-based agribusiness program.

The expected ultimate outcome is to empower 4.6 million youth (55% female) in the Global South with equal access to economic opportunities, skills and resources through digital initiatives. The expected results include: (1) empowered young women and men, with equal access to economic opportunities and resources; 2) reduced gender gap in digital skills; 3) improved well-being and life satisfaction among young women and men; and (4) increased connectivity of schools, communities and young people to the Internet and digital public goods.
