Co-organized by Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada) and Universities Canada, the Canada-in-Asia conference will bring together 30 Canadian universities and up to 250 alumni in Asia. Recognizing the significance of this initiative, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) has committed a $200K contribution and positioned itself as one of the major event partners. As such, this conference will become a signature event that GAC supports following the unveiling of IPS to deliver on Canada’s commitment to enhance our presence in the region and to support Canadian partners outside of government in advancing shared interests.

Expected Results:
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) an increase in women and girls’ use of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender-based violence (GBV) services, especially by women and girls living in vulnerable situations; and (2) strengthened enabling environments for women and girls’ access to SRHR and GBV services at national, state, and local levels.
