Description:
This project aims to increase clean energy transition in the Caribbean fisheries and aquaculture sectors. It promotes sustainable energy technologies and encourages low carbon or carbon neutral fishery certification in the region. The project also aims to strengthen fisheries’ value chains by developing viable business models to promote the economic sustainability of various actors, ranging from owners, operators, and users of the fishing, fish storage, and processing facilities in the sector. Project activities include: (1) promoting resilient and inclusive value chain market and skills development; (2) promoting more sustainable energy use in the fisheries sector; and (3) enhancing skills of fisheries and market-level actors engaged in fisheries or aquaculture.

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) a strengthened enabling environment for an inclusive and

Caribbean fisheries and aquaculture sectors.
