Description:
This project addresses current safety and structural deficiencies in the LAF warehouse facilities by providing a properly outfitted warehouse for material accountability, tracking and distribution. The project will provide space for a structured materials management system to improve the efficiency of material movement and tracking as well as allow for continued training in critical area and logistics to build the LAF's capabilities and support regional security and stability.

  • Enabling better management of donations from partner nations reducing redundancies and duplication of effort.
  • Supports previous Canadian sustainment efforts by providing the base for developing best practices in logistics.
  • Allows for the integration and employment of IT hardware donation from CTAT-L to establish materials management practices.
  • Improve LAF ability to provide stability and security through improved logistics functioning.
  • Increased ability of the LAF to supply border regiments with the supplies necessary to operate in austere conditions
  • Provides the supply network required to meet CIMIC requirements in support of catastrophic events
  • Contribution to overall LAF logistics redesign and will further enable the LAF capacity to secure their borders
  • Establishes a baseline from which to build a functional supply network in all LAF AORs
