Description:
The project will ensure the principal engagement of women in the development and implementation of inclusive Local Resilience Plans (LRPs) to ensure their concerns are reflected in resilience-building measures. Targeted skills development for women will increase their adaptive capacity and resilience. The initiative will also advocate for national government institutions to recognize the unique challenges women and girls face in the face of adverse climate impacts.

Project Intermediate Outcomes are:
1: Vulnerable and marginalized households are increasingly applying resilience-building practices and are increasingly engaged in community-based resilience-building analysis, planning, funding, and implementation activities.
2) Vulnerable and marginalized communities are increasingly engaged in jointly developing, promoting, and implementing inclusive local resilience plans.
3) Local level government institutions and civil society organisations are increasingly involved in developing, coordinating, and ensuring the implementation and uptake of locally led resilience plans.
4) National level government institutions and civil society organisations are increasingly learning from and supporting the upscaling of locally led resilience plans and practices
