Canada's support of the Fund aims to join UN programming dedicated to advancing gender equality and human rights.

Expected Results:
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) supported the legislative framework in protecting the human rights of all persons in Somalia including, the most vulnerable persons; and (2) enhanced representation and meaningful participation of women in political, legislative and peace infrastructures and processes. This aims to promote, sustain and consolidate peace, and gender-responsive approaches to peacebuilding, with women at the helm of the peace building process.
