The expected outcomes for this project include: 1) Increased use of technology-based and STEAM educational resources by teachers, majority women, Indigenous and Afro-descendant primary and secondary schools of the Atlantic Coast of Honduras; 2) Increased practice of Intercultural Bilingual Education (IBE) in the classroom by teachers, majority women, in Indigenous and Afro-descendant primary and secondary schools of the Atlantic Coast of Honduras; 3) Improved contextualized instruction from a gender-equitable and rights-based approach by teachers, majority women in Indigenous and Afro-descendant primary and secondary schools of the Atlantic Coast of Honduras.
enhanced pedagogy skills of teachers in the use of technology-based educational resources; 2) increased ability of teachers to promote STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning for students, particularly girls; 3) increased access for female indigenous teachers to indigenous territory based, inter-cultural, bilingual, gender-sensitive and Ministry of Education-approved distance professional credential program; 4) improved skills of teachers to teach inter-cultural and bilingual gender equality and SRHR; and 5) increased ability of teachers to utilize indigenous-rights, gender-sensitive, and mother-tongue educational content.
