They aim to analyze and assess the level of transparency demonstrated by States Parties to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in their implementation of legal obligations and political commitments on nuclear disarmament, non-proliferation and the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.

Expected Results:

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) produced and promoted a "Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Monitor" that analyzes how States Parties to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty have implemented their obligations and commitments; and (2) produced and promoted a "Nuclear Transparency Index" that analyzes data on the level of transparency by countries that possess nuclear weapons and produce a score that permits comparison and tracking trends.
