Description:
This project seeks to increase opportunities for women to pursue and advance careers in the nuclear security sector. It aims to support the active participation by women and their ability to make meaningful contributions at the leadership level. Project activities include: (1) providing up to 25 2-year scholarships in nuclear security, non-proliferation, or nuclear law studies; (2) providing internship opportunities to gain work experience in nuclear security at the International Atomic Energy Agency; and (3) supporting a cohort of 15 women on a professional visit to Canada to enhance their technical and leadership skills. These opportunities aim to help women from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
