Description:

The project aims to strengthen and expand grassroots women's movements to promote gender equality and equity across all aspects of life. It will directly engage over 3,000 women in ten provinces in Indonesia: Aceh, South Sumatra, Lampung, Yogyakarta, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Central Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi. Additionally, the project will reach more than 20,000 individuals from both state and non-state actors to support women's political agendas for gender justice. This initiative will serve as a bridge for grassroots women to collaborate with larger women's organizations and movements at local, national, regional, and international levels. It will also connect with individuals, influencers, media, and youth groups to amplify women's voices and agendas, driving changes in socio-economic, political, and cultural policies and practices. Project activities include: conducting discussions and workshops to develop and revise materials for awareness and capacity building in 12 SP Communities and the National Secretariat, organizing learning circles in 12 SP Communities, implementing a Feminist Leadership School (FLS) in 12 SP Communities and the National Secretariat, conducting Feminist Participatory Action Research (FPAR) within the FLS framework in 12 SP Communities and the National Secretariat.

Expected Results:

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) Improved SP as a feminist organization that are accountable, transparent, and sustainable in representing vulnerable and marginalized women and girls; (2) Enhanced performance of marginalize women and girls to ensure gender justice in social-economy-politic-culture policy and practices in Indonesia and (3) Enhanced gender justice in state policy, program and budgeting at village, district, province, and national level – based on women and girls' recommendations.
