Description:
The project aims to strengthen public service governance with a focus on ethics and human rights, transparency, accountability, civic engagement, and equitable participation, especially for women. Activities include: (1) Technical assistance to support the mainstreaming of gender equality in policymaking; (2) Organize workshops among the public and private sectors on leading practice in ethics and human rights; (3) Provide technical assistance to targeted civil society organizations in monitoring of the implementation of development policies; (4) Mentor select civil servants in community engagement and women’s empowerment.

Expected Results:
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) Strengthening gender-responsive policy and regulatory frameworks that promote a merit-based civil service with regard to ethics and human rights; (2) ’Improving implementation of gender-responsive policies and regulatory frameworks that reinforce the values and ethics of an inclusive, non-partisan, merit-based civil service; (3) Increasing accountability of targeted provinces to provide gender responsive, citizen-centered services that are accessible and responsive to the needs of all citizens.
